About
Annual Reports
Public operating summaries for a private foundation built around a continuous record.
The Laboratories publish scientific results openly and publish operating summaries for the public record. As a private foundation, they do not publish detailed financial statements. The reports below state what can be said without compromising supporter privacy, collaborator agreements, or archive restrictions.
The endowment
The Renner Endowment, established at the founding, underwrites the Laboratories' core operations and their commitment to keeping the record open in perpetuity. It has grown steadily, sustained by patient private support rather than by any product or return.

The community's contribution
The single largest contribution to the Laboratories' work is not financial. The volunteers of the Distributed Analysis Initiative donate idle computer time worth far more than any line of the endowment could cover.
