Privacy Notice

Fundamental Acoustics Laboratories collects only the information necessary to operate this site and its public programs. This notice explains what we collect and why.

Information you provide

When you contact the Laboratories, apply for a position, submit an observation, or enroll in the Distributed Analysis Initiative, we retain the information you provide in order to respond and to administer the relevant program. We do not sell this information, and we do not share it except as required to operate the program you have engaged with.

Submitted information may be processed by service providers and routed to designated internal recipients so the Laboratories can respond and administer the relevant program.

Location and place search

Night Watch may ask your browser for permission to use your location. If allowed, the coordinates are used in your browser to calculate observing windows and are not retained by the Laboratories. You may decline and use search, the map, or manual coordinates instead. Place-search text may be processed by a service provider together with standard request information.

Information collected automatically

This site records standard technical information (such as request logs) for security and operation. It does not use advertising trackers. The Field Array client transmits only the analysis results it is designed to return and basic diagnostic information; it does not access your files, your input, or your activity.

Retention

Consistent with the Laboratories' practice, records are retained. Correspondence and submissions are kept as part of the institutional archive. You may request the removal of information you have submitted by writing to the address below.
