This helps the records queue apply the right retention and review path.

Response handling

How messages are handled

Messages enter a create-only public queue and are reviewed by staff before internal routing.

Simple routing questions are usually acknowledged faster than records, data, or archive requests.

Data, archive, and restricted-record requests may require program, records-office, or collaborator review.

The public contact form is not monitored as an emergency channel. Urgent site matters should go through the switchboard.
