1. Public client boundary

The Field Array client is designed as an idle-compute contributor, not as a sensor. It receives bounded work units, evaluates them locally under a utilization cap, and returns reduced results. It does not inspect personal files, capture microphones, or run analysis outside the signed client boundary.

The public architecture separates contributor identity from scientific result review. A work unit can be audited without exposing the contributor's machine beyond the operational metadata required for support and abuse prevention.

The public client is documented around idle-only work and a low utilization cap.
Data boundary
Returned results are reduced products, not unrestricted local telemetry.

2. Work-unit lifecycle

Work units are generated from public or access-controlled source material after records staff assign a release boundary. The client receives a unit identifier, a compact analysis payload, a deadline, and an expected result schema. Expired work is discarded rather than merged into the review queue.

A returned unit is never treated as a finding by itself. It enters a queue where agreement, disagreement, client version, and source-record eligibility are reviewed before analysts see the result.

3. Trust, signing, and support

Public trust depends on boring controls: signed installers, documented update channels, clear uninstall steps, and an intake path for suspicious behavior. The Field Array is therefore operated like institutional software, not like a challenge or a promotion.

The report's controlled appendix contains operational signing details and support escalation tables. The public report keeps the contributor-facing model, privacy posture, and work-unit lifecycle visible.

Contributor support uses public unit IDs and client versions rather than raw machine inspection.
