Responsibilities
- Support installation, inspection, and repair of array and field-station infrastructure
- Assist with calibration campaigns and routine site maintenance
- Document field conditions, access routes, and instrument-adjacent disturbances
- Work safely around buried lines, low structures, wet ground, and remote enclosures
Qualifications
- Comfort with outdoor work in all weather
- Mechanical aptitude and reliable documentation habits
- Valid driver's license and ability to work early mornings during campaigns
- Respect for private-site access rules
Preferred experience
- Relevant coursework or field experience
- First-aid training
What good work looks like
- Field notes are readable enough for engineers who were not present
- Small maintenance issues are reported before they become outages
- Safety rules are followed even when the work seems routine
Seasonal appointment, eight to sixteen weeks
Full-time Calder Ridge duty during assigned field window
Daily field-tract movement by assigned vehicle or on foot
