Fundamental Acoustics Laboratories has opened the public subset of the Persistent Signal Catalog, the Laboratories' standing record of detections retained after routine engineering, environmental, and source-review checks. The release is the first time the public can read FAL entries and selected literature entries inside the same classification system.
The public catalog is intentionally narrower than the internal record. Most candidates fail early review, and most routine instrument events never become catalog material at all. The entries released today are those the Laboratories can describe responsibly without overstating their source, certainty, or significance.

- Widely studied literature entries retained as comparison cases for training and public context.
- Evidence links where a public source, finding, or institute abstract can be cited without exposing restricted records.

The classification scheme is deliberately conservative. A Class I entry may be a single event. A Class II entry persists or recurs. A Class III entry has survived ordinary explanation after review. None of those labels is a claim about origin.
The catalog is paired with Night Watch, a public instrument that plots celestial entries against the sky and keeps terrestrial and oceanic entries available in the same record. The goal is not to make a mystery more attractive. The goal is to keep position, source, date, and uncertainty visible together.
Corrections, source additions, and declassification requests will be handled through the records office. FAL expects the public subset to change slowly as records are reviewed, not as an unmoderated feed.
