Public releases from Keck Observatory and UC Berkeley describe a repeating fast radio burst traced to the outskirts of a massive, old, quiescent elliptical galaxy. Keck reports an offset of about 130,000 light-years from the galaxy's center. That location complicates the easy version of young-source expectations without replacing it with a final answer.
